Joint Coordination Between Basra and Karbala Ensures Success of Arbaeen Pilgrimage Plan

Basra: The head of the security committee in the Basra Provincial Council, Dr. Aqeel Talib Al-Fariji, has confirmed ongoing joint coordination between the governorates of Basra and Karbala. This collaboration aims to support the execution of the Arba'een pilgrimage plan, which is crucial for the success of the pilgrimage rituals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Fariji emphasized in a press release the necessity of concerted efforts among the governorates due to the massive influx of millions of pilgrims to Karbala during the pilgrimage. He noted that the Basra government, led by Governor Engineer Asaad Al-Eidani in his role as head of the province's Higher Security Committee, is actively continuing its preparations. Basra serves as a starting point for large groups of pilgrims making their way to Karbala.

Al-Fariji further mentioned that a meeting is anticipated with the executive team, which includes various directorates such as the municipality, electricity, and health, alongside supporting departments. The goal of this meeting is to develop a comprehensive service and security plan for the pilgrimage rituals, ensuring a successful event, as has been achieved in previous years.
