Joint Security Operation Uncovers ISIS War Materials Southwest of Kirkuk


Kirkuk: A joint security force seized war remnants belonging to the ISIS terrorist group southwest of Kirkuk.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) detailed that a force from the 61st Brigade, under the PMF’s North and East Tigris Operations Command, discovered war remnants and explosive materials in the village of Shalakh Eid, located in Al-Riyadh district, southwest of Kirkuk Governorate. This was achieved during a collaborative operation with the governorate’s security forces.



The statement further highlighted that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to bolster security and stability in the region, as well as to pursue the remnants of terrorist groups. It was noted that the necessary procedures were implemented to manage the seized materials in accordance with established protocols, ensuring the operation was completed without any casualties.
