Jordan Announces Extensive Cabinet Reshuffle to Propel Economic Vision

Amman: The office of Jordanian Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan announced a large-scale cabinet reshuffle in his government on Wednesday. The change is set to affect approximately one-third of the ministerial team and half of the modernization team, marking a significant shift within the Jordanian government structure.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the reshuffle aims to enhance the ministerial team’s capabilities to build on current achievements and meet the demands of implementing the country’s Economic Modernization Vision. This strategic move comes as the government prepares to launch the second executive program for this vision.

Reports suggest that the reshuffle will influence both service and sovereign ministries, with a particular focus on portfolios related to the economy, services, and investment. This strategic realignment is expected to bring in technocrats with expertise and competence in specific sectors, ensuring that the government has the necessary skills to drive economic and service-related initiatives forward.

The official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office revealed that several current Ministers will be stepping down, including those who make up one-third of the ministerial team and half of the modernization team. The list of potential candidates for the reshuffle is predominantly composed of individuals with a strong technocratic background, positioning the government to bolster its modernization efforts.
