AMMAN: The Jordanian army has successfully intercepted a drone attempting to smuggle narcotics into the country, marking a significant operation against illegal drug trafficking efforts. The incident was reported by the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces, emphasizing a coordinated effort involving border guard forces, military security services, and the Anti-Narcotics Department. According to National Iraqi News Agency, a responsible military source stated that the border guard forces in the southern military region, in conjunction with military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted the smuggling operation. The drone, carrying an undisclosed quantity of narcotics, was intercepted and its cargo was dropped within Jordanian territory after the rules of engagement were applied.
