Amman: Jordan’s King Abdullah II emphasized today that Jordan will not serve as a battleground for regional conflicts. He expressed commitment to collaborating with neighboring states to stabilize the Middle East and address the ongoing Palestinian issue constructively.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, King Abdullah conveyed these sentiments during a discussion with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who is currently on a regional tour. The meeting underscored the urgency of de-escalating tensions and ceasing hostilities that perpetuate violence and conflict in the region.

In his dialogue with Minister Araqchi, King Abdullah also highlighted the critical need to halt the Israeli military actions in Gaza and Lebanon as initial steps toward peace. He pointed out the importance of enhancing humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip to alleviate the escalating humanitarian crisis, ensuring that relief aid reaches those in dire need effectively.
