Baghdad: The Arab Parliament emphasized the significance of the upcoming 34th Arab Summit, set to take place in Baghdad next week. Jordanian Parliamentarian, MP Mujhim Al-Suqour, shared his insights in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), highlighting Iraq’s current stability and ongoing urban development. He noted that Iraq’s progress sends a strong message to the world about its regained balance and commitment to reconstruction, with contributions from all political factions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, MP Al-Suqour expressed the importance of Arab nations uniting to address shared Arab and Islamic concerns. He voiced hopes that the summit would foster unity among Arab leaders, resulting in decisions that benefit their citizens. He also underscored the Arab Parliament’s support for efforts to resolve conflicts, establish a sovereign state on Palestinian land, and aid the people of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which are key priorities for the summit.
MP Al-Suqour further highlighted the challenges facing Arab countries, emphasizing the need for a collective stance to ensure regional stability. He concluded by mentioning that significant economic issues will be on the agenda at the summit, advocating for the event to symbolize hope for all Arab peoples.
