Journalists Syndicate Affirms Commitment to Purposeful Media Discourse and Teamwork to Serve the Journalistic Community


Baghdad: The Journalists Syndicate has affirmed its commitment to adopting a purposeful media discourse and working as a unified team to serve the journalistic community. This commitment aligns with the aspirations of the coming phase and aims to strengthen the syndicate’s role in the national landscape.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the syndicate highlighted that the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Council held its first meeting, chaired by Syndicate President Khalid Jassim. The meeting was attended by Vice Presidents Moayad Al-Lami and Jabbar Trad, along with other members of the syndicate council.



During the meeting, several important issues were discussed, with a focus on the syndicate’s professional program and mechanisms for developing journalistic work. The discussion also emphasized the importance of maintaining communication with media institutions to improve the media landscape and keep pace with modern developments.



The Council reviewed the congratulations and praise from both the International Federation of Journalists and the Federation of Arab Journalists regarding the syndicate’s electoral conference. Additionally, they commended the judiciary for overseeing the elections.



Furthermore, the Council was briefed on praise received from the three presidencies and the heads of political blocs for the union elections.
