Baghdad:Baghdad Minister of Justice Khalid Shwani has received an official invitation from Algerian Justice Minister Lotfi Boujemaa to attend the upcoming meeting of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers in Algeria.

According to Iraqi News Agency, this invitation was delivered by the Algerian Ambassador, Djihad Eddine Belkas, during a meeting with Minister Shwani at the Ministry’s headquarters. The meeting of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers is scheduled to take place in Algeria next month.

Minister Shwani expressed Iraq’s eagerness to participate in the meeting, emphasizing the opportunity it presents for enhanced communication and coordination among Arab justice ministers. He noted that this event could foster prospects for joint judicial cooperation and strengthen the bilateral relations between Iraq and Algeria.

Additionally, Shwani mentioned the potential for signing a memorandum of understanding concerning the transfer of convicted persons, as well as broader judicial and legal cooperation. These initiatives aim to advance collaboration within the justice sector and serve the mutual interests of both countries.
