Baghdad: Justice Minister Khalid Shawani has initiated a comprehensive restructuring of the notary public offices in Baghdad. This directive forms part of a broader vision by the Ministry of Justice aimed at rationalizing spending, developing the work environment, combating administrative inefficiency, improving service levels, and preventing corruption.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Justice announced that Minister Shawani has ordered a series of organizational and administrative measures. These include a full rotation of notaries public in Baghdad, which will eventually extend to other governorates. The aim is to enhance performance efficiency and work transparency. The ministry’s statement emphasized the importance of a comprehensive evaluation of departmental performance, achievement levels, and the improvement of judicial services offered to citizens.

In line with efforts to rationalize spending and reorganize operations, the minister has also instructed the restructuring of certain notary public departments based on actual need. This includes an emphasis on enhancing the infrastructure of existing buildings and conducting thorough evaluations. These steps are aligned with the ministry’s push for digital transformation and the automation of processes, contributing to a modern work environment.
