Karbala: The Governor of Karbala, Eng. Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi, welcomed a delegation of pilgrims from a variety of countries, including Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, and Belgium, among others. This meeting took place shortly after the conclusion of the Arbaeen pilgrimage and highlighted the inclusive and humanitarian essence of Karbala.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khattabi emphasized that Karbala, associated with Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), is more than just a geographical location. It represents a city for all humanity, delivering a timeless message that spans across all religions, sects, and nationalities.

He further noted that the message of Imam Hussein’s revolution was meant for all of humanity, serving as a symbol of freedom and dignity. Al-Khattabi reiterated that Karbala remains open to every visitor, standing as a global emblem of humanity and a sanctuary for the conscience of the world.
