Karbala: The Governor of Karbala, Eng. Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi, received a delegation of pilgrims from several Arab and foreign countries, including Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, and Belgium, as well as other nations, in a meeting that reflected the universal and humanitarian spirit of Karbala, following the conclusion of the Arbaeen pilgrimage a few days ago.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khattabi emphasized that Karbala of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) transcends its geographical identity, positioning itself as a city for all humanity. He highlighted the city’s role in carrying an eternal message that embraces all religions, sects, and nationalities.

He further elaborated that the revolution of Imam Hussein was not limited to one nation or sect. Instead, it serves as a beacon for humanity, offering a timeless message of freedom and dignity. Al-Khattabi affirmed that Karbala continues to welcome every visitor, maintaining its status as a global symbol of humanity and a refuge for the living conscience everywhere.
