Karbala: The emergency police units of Karbala Governorate Police Command swiftly responded to an incident of gunfire into the air by an individual in possession of a Kalashnikov rifle, which disturbed residents.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a police statement indicated that a team was formed under the command of the emergency patrol officer. The operation involved the participation of other patrols within the department's area of responsibility and was conducted in coordination with the officer of the relevant police station. The police proceeded to the scene, apprehended the suspect, and confiscated the weapon used.

The suspect was referred to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings, in line with the security forces' commitment to maintaining security and public order and preventing any actions that could disrupt social peace.
