Karbala: The sheikhs and dignitaries of the Tribal Council in the city of Karbala announced their absolute support for the supreme religious authority, represented by Imam al-Sistani (may his shadow endure), and affirmed their rejection of the Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the State of Law parliamentary bloc, Yasser al-Maliki, called on the international community, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, stand against this aggression, and uphold the principles of international legitimacy and justice.

The statement expressed the tribal sheikhs’ rejection of any violation of Iraqi sovereignty and attacks on the nation’s airspace, considering this an unacceptable transgression against Iraq’s national security and dignity.

The statement called on the Iraqi government to take the necessary measures to protect national sovereignty. The statement also emphasized the importance of national unity and standing behind the supreme authority in defense of Iraq and its people, and confronting all attempts to destabilize its security and stability, and tear apart its social fabric.
