Kawa Mohammed: Fear of electoral fraud is legitimate, given that some have military power and political money

Baghdad Member of the House of Representatives for the Kurdish Change Movement Bloc, Kawa Mohammed, confirmed that: “Fear of fraud in the elections is legitimate in light of some people possessing military power and political money.”

Mohammed said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “Iraq is located within a region, fraud exists in the elections of all its countries. In the whole country, there were programmed visits to some political blocs, especially the 2018 elections.

He added, “The fear is legitimate and cannot be avoided, in a country where some political parties have military power and political money, and controlling elections is very difficult.”

He expressed his hope that fraud would not occur or that its percentage would be low compared to the previous elections.

The early elections are scheduled to be held next Sunday, the tenth of October.
