TEHRAN: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ali Khamenei, has paid tribute to Yahya Sinwar, describing him as a “bright face of resistance and struggle” in a recent statement. Khamenei highlighted Sinwar’s role in confronting adversaries with unwavering resolve and commemorated the impact of his actions on regional history.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Khamenei’s statement emphasized Sinwar’s strong stance against what he referred to as “the unjust and aggressive enemy,” and acknowledged Sinwar’s significant contributions towards the resistance movement. Khamenei remarked on the historical significance of Sinwar’s efforts, particularly noting the indelible mark left by events on October 7. He further stated that Sinwar’s life dedicated to opposing the usurping forces made martyrdom a fitting end for him.
Khamenei assured that the resistance movement would continue its progress despite the loss of prominent figures like Sinwar. He affirmed that the martyrdom of Sinwar would not
impede the resistance front, with the Hamas movement remaining active and resilient. This statement underscores Khamenei’s position on the ongoing struggle and the unyielding spirit of the movement.
