King Abdullah II of Jordan Arrives in Istanbul at Erdogan’s Invitation


Istanbul: King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Istanbul on Saturday afternoon, responding to an official invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The arrival was marked by a formal reception at the historic Dolmabah§e Palace, where President Erdogan welcomed the Jordanian monarch.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit commenced with a bilateral meeting between King Abdullah II and President Erdogan, which was followed by a larger gathering that included delegations from both nations. The Turkish delegation featured key figures such as Defense Minister Yasar Gler, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and the head of Turkish intelligence, Ibrahim Kalin.



The statement from the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications highlighted that the discussions in Istanbul are set to cover various facets of bilateral relations. The leaders also plan to address current regional developments and explore potential strategies to bolster regional stability.
