Kirkuk Airport Security Foils $226,000 Smuggling Attempt

Kirkuk: Kirkuk International Airport administration appreciates the efforts of the security and customs authorities in thwarting an attempt to smuggle a sum of money. The administration of Kirkuk International Airport expressed its sincere gratitude to the Directorate of Airport Security and Protection/Kirkuk International Airport Security Department, the airport customs, and all security and service agencies operating at the airport for their outstanding efforts and fruitful cooperation, which resulted in thwarting an attempt to smuggle $226,000.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the airport administration emphasized that this achievement reflects the high level of coordination among all entities operating within the airport and demonstrates their readiness to implement security and customs procedures efficiently and professionally. The administration also commended the effective role played by the inspection system and advanced technical equipment provided by Kirkuk International Airport, which have significantly contributed to enhancing detection and monitoring procedures, raising the efficiency of security operations, ensuring the protection of the airport and its passengers, and strengthening the safety of operational processes according to the highest approved standards.
