Kirkuk: The 17th coordination meeting of the subcommittees for combating extremism took place in Kirkuk, chaired by Ali Abdullah al-Badiri, head of the National Committee for Combating Extremism affiliated with the National Security Advisory. The meeting saw participation from all governorates and was conducted in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This event is scheduled to last for two days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the National Committee emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts in developing and supporting initiatives to combat extremism. These efforts are aligned with national priorities and aim to leverage Iraq’s experiences and achievements to strengthen harmony, cohesion, awareness, and sound development.

Ribwar Taha, head of the subcommittee and First Deputy Governor of Kirkuk, confirmed the support from the Kirkuk administration and the committee for all efforts, plans, and programs initiated by the higher committee.
