Kirkuk: Major General Maad Badai, the Commander of Kirkuk Operations, chaired the inaugural meeting of the newly established Security Media Cell in Kirkuk. The meeting marked a significant step in the province's efforts to enhance communication and collaboration between the security forces and the media.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Security Media Cell released a press statement highlighting its commitment to maintaining responsible media discourse while respecting the freedom of the national press. The cell pledged its support for journalists and media outlets officially registered with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. This support includes facilitating their work, disseminating accurate information, and portraying a positive image of Kirkuk, which the cell believes will strengthen peace, coexistence, and state institutions.

The Security Media Cell also plans to coordinate with religious endowments, including Shiite and Sunni groups, to encourage religious leaders to help combat extremist ideologies and promote moderation in discourse. This coordination is seen as a vital part of the cell's strategy to support the efforts of the security forces in the region.

The meeting was attended by several key figures, including the Deputy Commander of Operations, the Chief of Staff of the Command, and directors from the media, government communications, and various security directorates and divisions within Kirkuk. This gathering underscores the comprehensive approach being taken to integrate media and security efforts in the province.
