Kirkuk Police Swiftly Apprehend Murder Suspect in Al-Kaif Village


Kirkuk: Kirkuk Police Chief, Major General Fattah Al-Khafaji, announced the arrest of the perpetrator of the murder in Al-Kaif village within one hour. The swift action follows a violent altercation over an agricultural land dispute in the village, located in the Dibis district, which resulted in the death of a civilian and injuries to two others.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a dedicated team was quickly assembled to address the incident. The team, led by the department director, the police station officer, and the investigation officer, worked promptly to track down the suspect. Through investigation and intelligence gathering, the suspect was apprehended, and the weapon used in the crime was seized within an hour of the initial report.

The suspect’s confession was recorded, and he was charged under Article 406 of the Penal Code, which pertains to murder. The authorities’ rapid response underscores the commitment to maintaining order and swiftly addressing criminal activities in the region.
