Baghdad South Korea’s Anne San broke the Olympic record in women’s archery, which has held for nearly 25 years.

The player, Anne San, succeeded in breaking the record held by Ukrainian Lina Herasmenko (673) in 1996, during the 72nd arrows classification round for women today, Friday.

San scored 680 points out of a possible 720 in the ranking round at Yume no Shima Garden Shooting Course, as the shooters shot 72 arrows, 36 in each run.

South Korea’s Jang Min Hee ranked second (677) and her fellow world record holder Kang Chae Young ranked third (675), and the previous record was also broken by Mexican Alejandra Valencia (674).

The three-shooter Korean team broke a new Olympic record of 2,032 points.
