Qamishli: The Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, has emphasized the importance of ensuring Kurdish rights in the future framework of Syria. Speaking at the Kurdish Unity and Position Conference in Qamishli, Abdi highlighted the need for a decentralized constitution that accommodates all components of Syrian society.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his address, Abdi announced plans to present the demands and unified political program of the Kurdish parties at the conference. He acknowledged Masoud Barzani, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, for his support and efforts in facilitating the conference.
This significant event marked the first instance of various Kurdish political parties coming together to establish a unified stance within Syria. The conference, which had faced multiple delays over the years, saw participation from Kurdish parties and representatives hailing from cities such as Damascus, Aleppo, Hama, al-Bab, and Azaz.
