Kurdistan Democratic Party Leads in Nineveh Election Results


Mosul: The Independent High Electoral Commission has reported the preliminary election results for Nineveh, revealing that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), under the leadership of Masoud Barzani, has secured the first position. This announcement marks a significant development in the region’s political landscape.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the KDP was closely followed by the Taqaddum Party, which is led by Mohammed al-Halbousi, taking the second spot. The Reconstruction and Development Coalition, spearheaded by Mohammed al-Sudani, secured the third position in the election results.



The results underline the KDP’s continuing influence in the Nineveh region, while the Taqaddum Party’s second-place finish highlights its growing political presence. Meanwhile, the Reconstruction and Development Coalition’s third-place position indicates its ongoing role in the regional political dynamics.
