Hama: Large fires broke out in the forested lands of the towns of Deir Shamil and al-Kanais in the Masyaf area in the western Hama countryside, central Syria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these fires have expanded significantly in recent hours due to strong winds and the difficulty of reaching the fire sites due to the rugged terrain that characterizes the area.

Firefighting teams, in cooperation with the area’s residents, are working to limit the spread of the fires, which have reached civilian homes. They are facing major challenges represented by weak logistical capabilities and a shortage of firefighting equipment.

Injuries were recorded among civilians participating in the firefighting efforts, with several individuals suffering from wounds, burns, and suffocation. They were transferred to medical centers for necessary treatment.
