Large-Scale Drug Sweep in Babylon Leads to 30 Arrests


Babylon: Babylon Police Command, in a joint operation with the Babylon Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, conducted a significant security campaign targeting drug trafficking networks, resulting in the arrest of 30 individuals involved in various drug-related activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was led by the Babylon Police Media Director Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, who stated that the campaign took place on Sunday evening across several administrative units. The focus was on searching for drugs and apprehending suspects involved in drug use and trafficking.

Brigadier General Al-Husseini further mentioned that the suspects have been handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation. All seized items related to the drug cases have also been confiscated as part of the operation’s success in cracking down on drug-related activities in the region.
