Brasilia: The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized the importance of resolving the crisis related to the Iranian nuclear program through political and diplomatic means during their meeting in Brazil on the sidelines of the BRICS summit.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Russia reiterated its condemnation of the military attacks by Israel and the United States on Iranian territory, describing them as unjustified and a violation of the UN Charter and international law. These attacks include the bombing of nuclear energy infrastructure facilities that are under International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards.

Moscow expressed its willingness to assist in finding mutually acceptable solutions, including within the framework of specific initiatives previously proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
