Beirut: The Lebanese Army Command has announced the arrest of two individuals in the Chtaura region, east of Lebanon, who were found transporting a significant quantity of ammunition.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Army Command released a statement detailing that on June 10, following a precise security operation, the Intelligence Directorate in the Chtaura-Zahle region apprehended citizens identified as (M.N.) and (H.J.). They were caught transporting numerous shells, bombs, and ammunition in their vehicle.

The statement further revealed that the directorate conducted raids on their homes located in the town of Tamnin – Baalbek. During these operations, a substantial amount of weapons, ammunition, and drugs were discovered in the home of one of the suspects, along with counterfeit money. The seized items have been handed over, and investigations are underway with the two detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
