Lebanese Health Ministry Reports Rising Casualties Amid Ongoing Conflict

BEIRUT: The Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon has released its latest figures on the toll of recent hostilities, revealing an increase in casualties. According to the ministry, Israeli airstrikes over the past 48 hours have led to 36 additional deaths and 204 injuries across various regions in Lebanon. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the breakdown of casualties includes 11 deaths and 95 injuries in the South, 23 deaths and 93 injuries in Nabatieh, one death and nine injuries in Bekaa, and one death and 12 injuries in Baalbek-Hermel. This grim addition brings the total number of fatalities to 2,448 and the total wounded to 11,471 since the onset of the aggression. The Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center continues to monitor the situation closely, emphasizing the urgent need for medical aid and support in the affected areas. The statement underscores the ongoing humanitarian challenges posed by the conflict, as medical facilities strive to cope with the influx of casualties.
