Lebanese Prime Minister Asserts No Stability Amid Continued Israeli Violations

Beirut: Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam confirmed on Wednesday that “things are progressing positively with President Joseph Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri regarding the discussion of resolving the issue of Hezbollah’s weapons.” Salam emphasized the state’s commitment to extending its full authority over all territories to centralize control over weapons, stating that stability in Lebanon remains unattainable as long as Israeli violations persist.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Salam highlighted that stability is hindered by ongoing Israeli violations and the occupation of Lebanese lands. He noted that political pressure is being intensified to implement Resolution 1701 and to facilitate the dignified return of displaced individuals, alongside the reconstruction of areas devastated by aggression.
