Baghdad: Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, met with Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Saturday to discuss the overall situation in Iraq following the parliamentary elections and the ongoing efforts among political parties to form a new federal government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Maliki’s media office released a statement highlighting the agreement between the two leaders on the importance of resolving outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government. Both parties emphasized the need for solutions based on the constitution and signed agreements, aiming to foster collaboration and stability in the region.
