Baghdad / NINA / – First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed the imposition of the rule of law, protection of the security and stability of Diyala Governorate, and the prevention of any attempts to destabilize it.

A statement by his media office stated that Al-Mandalawi made, today, Saturday, a field visit to Diyala Governorate to meet with the security leaders there and to find out about the security situation that the province witnessed recently.

According to the statement, Al-Mandalawi stressed, during his meeting with the Diyala Operations Commander and a number of security leaders in it, to impose the rule of law, protect the security and stability of the province, and prevent any attempts to destabilize it, indicating that the House of Representatives will follow up through the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee the situation in the province, and will work with the concerned parties to provide the required support to establish security therein.

According to the statement, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament called on the federal and local government to provide more attention to the governorate, and to provide basic requirements for areas that suffer from a low level of services, indicating that the Council is keen to provide adequate financial allocations in the current year budget for the governorate in order to advance its service reality./ End
