TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the enduring impact of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s assassination, describing him as a symbol of courage for resistance fighters throughout the region. Sinwar’s legacy, Araghchi noted, will continue to inspire those dedicated to the Palestinian cause.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araghchi made these remarks in a tweet on the “X” platform, where he shared a picture of Sinwar taken moments before his death, alongside verses by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. Araghchi praised Sinwar’s bravery, highlighting his pursuit of martyrdom in Gaza and his unwavering commitment to the Palestinian struggle, saying, “He fought bravely until he breathed his last on the battlefield.”
Araghchi further articulated that Sinwar’s fate, as captured poignantly in the last image of him, serves not as a deterrent but as a motivating force for resistance fighters, both Palestinian and non-Palestinian. He stated, “The fate of Sinwar will become a source of in
spiration for all resistance fighters in the region.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister also extended a message of solidarity, affirming that many across the globe honor Sinwar’s dedication to the freedom of the Palestinian people. Araghchi concluded by underscoring the enduring nature of martyrdom and the increasing relevance of the struggle for the liberation of occupied Palestinian territories.
