Erbil: Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by the Governor of West Azerbaijan (Urmia), Reza Rahmani, on Monday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government indicated that during the meeting, which was attended by the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil, Faramarz Asadi, views were exchanged on ways to strengthen bilateral relations. The focus was particularly on trade exchange and facilitating tourism and transportation between the two sides.

The visiting delegation expressed its gratitude to the Kurdistan Regional Government for the support and facilities it provides to Iranian pilgrims heading to visit the holy shrines in Iraq.
