Duhok: Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani confirmed that Japan is using the region as a base for supplying other regions and cities in Iraq with cars.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his speech at the opening ceremony of the Toyota Quality Testing and Experimental Center in Duhok Governorate, Barzani expressed his satisfaction with Japan’s decision. He highlighted the significance of Japan’s confidence in the Kurdistan Region, which now serves as a distribution hub for Japanese cars destined for the Iraqi market.

Barzani emphasized the Kurdistan Regional Government’s ongoing support for this initiative, recognizing it as a significant commercial and industrial endeavor. He noted that the project would contribute to the region’s economic growth and provide residents with opportunities to acquire new skills in the automotive industry.
