Erbil: Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani welcomed a United States delegation on Wednesday, led by Reilly Barnes from the US State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting included US Consul General in Erbil, Steve Bittner. The delegation expressed its satisfaction in joining the Kurdistan National Day of Prayer celebrations. Discussions between the two parties focused on the state of peaceful coexistence and religious freedoms within the Kurdistan Region.

The dialogue also highlighted the urgency in forming a new cabinet for the regional government and the need to resume oil exports promptly. Both sides agreed on the significance of these steps for the region’s stability and economic progress.
