According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barzani emphasized that the successful elections for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament represented another notable achievement for the region. He congratulated all citizens of the Kurdistan Region, acknowledging the steadfastness of the people and highlighting the participation of the families of martyrs. Barzani also extended his gratitude to the Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq for its role in conducting and supervising the elections.
