Amara: Dozens of engineers in Maysan Governorate demonstrated today in front of their union headquarters in the city of Amara, protesting what they described as “the union’s failure to fulfill its promises regarding providing job opportunities and achieving fairness in their distribution.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a number of demonstrators expressed their frustration, stating, “The union has not fulfilled the promises it made to engineers regarding providing fair job opportunities, as they are being distributed based on favoritism and personal relationships, marginalizing a large segment of graduates.”
The protesters are calling for the intervention of the relevant authorities to address “discrimination” and to ensure transparent job opportunities, allowing everyone the right to employment, free from favoritism.
