Baghdad: The governor of Maysan is demanding that the Ministry of Finance create job positions for politically dismissed employees who have not yet been appointed.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Governor of Maysan, Habib Thahir Al-Fartousi, has sent an official letter to the Ministry of Finance’s Budget Department. The letter requests the creation of job positions specifically for politically dismissed individuals, in line with applicable laws and regulations. This initiative is aimed at ensuring fairness for this group and facilitating their access to rightful employment.

In a statement, Governor Al-Fartousi emphasized that the local government remains engaged with the relevant federal authorities to advance this issue. The governor outlined efforts to complete necessary legal and administrative procedures to provide employment opportunities for those eligible, based on established criteria. He highlighted that addressing the Ministry of Finance is a part of Maysan Governorate’s broader efforts to advocate for the rights of its citizens and to ensure that eligible individuals receive their rightful employment opportunities.
