Maysan Operations Commander holds a tribal conference to support the security services and renounce clan conflicts

The Maysan Operations Commander, Lieutenant General, Muhammad Jassim Al-Zubaidi and a number of military and security leaders held a tribal conference, in the presence of a number of tribal sheikhs and dignitaries in Maysan Governorate.

The Maysan Operations Command said in a statement, a copy of which the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received: "This conference came to support the security forces, reject tribal conflicts and strange customs to the Maysan society, reject and fight disputes, hold the perpetrators accountable and declare their acquittal, in addition to discussing the importance of supporting the security services and stand with them in the process of maintaining security and order, enforcing the law, and limiting weapons to the state.”

It added: "The clan elders affirmed their support for the security forces to implement the law, in addition to declaring the clans' disown of the criminals and handing them over to justice."
