Maysan: The Maysan Governorate Police Command has launched a preemptive security operation aimed at ensuring the safety of the Arbaeen pilgrimage. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance security and stability and to support the comprehensive plan for the million-person pilgrimage.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Maysan Police Command issued a statement detailing the operation, which involved setting up checkpoints and conducting extensive raids and searches in both agricultural and residential areas. These efforts led to the arrest of 10 suspects under various legal and criminal provisions. Furthermore, the operation resulted in the seizure of nine weapons. The police have stated that legal measures will be pursued against the accused in accordance with the law.
