Amara: The Maysan Governorate Police Command announced the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of firearms following an armed fight between two neighbors in the center of Amara city.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a joint security force managed to control a fight that erupted yesterday evening in the Fananin neighborhood. The altercation began with a dispute among children and escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the two neighbors.
The police force established a security cordon around the area, successfully surrounding the quarreling parties. They arrested six suspects from both sides and confiscated two Kalashnikov rifles found in their possession.
The Command confirmed that the accused individuals were taken to the security detention center to complete the legal procedures against them in accordance with the rules.
