Maysan: The Maysan Governorate Police Command announced that officers from the Kumait Police Station rescued a 20-year-old man after he attempted to harm himself by jumping from a bridge.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a press release that the incident was handled swiftly thanks to the vigilance of the security detachments stationed near the bridge. They acted immediately and took the necessary measures, which contributed to rescuing the young man at the last minute.

The statement added that the officers provided the young man with first aid immediately after his rescue before transferring him to a nearby hospital for further medical care. His condition is stable.
