Mecca Alliance Commits to Defense Cooperation and Appoints New Secretary-General


Mecca:The Mecca Alliance has announced the immediate implementation of joint defense commitments, which include the provision and rapid deployment of military forces and capabilities to Saudi Arabia.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a joint statement, the Alliance emphasized that the security of each member nation is integral to collective security. Turkey and Pakistan commended the readiness and efficiency of Saudi forces in addressing threats and attacks.



The Alliance also condemned attempts to target the Holy Cities of Mecca and Medina, as well as ongoing attacks on cities and civilian and economic facilities in Saudi Arabia.



Additionally, the Alliance has appointed retired General Nauman Mahmoud from Pakistan as Secretary-General for a three-year term. Previously, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey signed a joint defense agreement to enhance deterrence against any aggression.
