Media and Communications Commission Warns Against Fake Starlink Agents in Iraq

Baghdad: The Media and Communications Commission has confirmed that there are no official agents or authorized resellers for Starlink in Iraq, cautioning that individuals or entities claiming otherwise will face legal consequences.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Commission issued a statement underscoring that any claims of representation or exclusive rights to sell Starlink's services in Iraq constitute misleading advertising for consumers searching for satellite internet services. The statement emphasized that any official announcements regarding authorized agents or resellers will be communicated through the Commission's and Starlink's approved channels only after all necessary procedures and requirements have been fulfilled.

The Commission further advised consumers and government institutions to remain vigilant and avoid engaging with any parties claiming to be official representatives of Starlink or authorized sellers of its products. It urged reliance on official sources to verify information concerning authorized agencies.
