Karbala: The Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Hassan Rashid Al-Abayji, emphasized the significant role of media coverage in spotlighting the Arbaeen pilgrimage both locally and internationally. He noted that this coverage has been instrumental in portraying an honorable image of the event’s organization and the services provided to the pilgrims.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a speech marking the conclusion of the pilgrimage, Al-Abayji expressed his gratitude towards the pilgrims, volunteers, shrine staff, and official institutions. He lauded the contributions of mourning processions, security forces, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and relevant ministries, all of which played a crucial role in ensuring the success and security of the pilgrimage across the country.

Al-Abayji also praised the media and social media platforms for their honest and professional portrayal of the events. He stressed that the Arbaeen pilgrimage symbolizes loyalty and devotion to the path of Imam Hussein, representing a timeless message that challenges oppressive regimes throughout history.
