Basra: The Meteorological Authority has issued a warning about reduced horizontal visibility due to dust expected on Tuesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority announced that southern cities will experience significant northwesterly wind activity during the daytime hours on Tuesday, July 22. These winds, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h, are expected to stir up dust, reducing horizontal visibility to between 2-4 km, and potentially even less in desert areas.

The statement also highlighted the expectation of high waves along the coasts of Basra. The Authority urged caution for those traveling on external roads and advised maritime navigation and coastal activities to be approached with care due to the adverse weather conditions.
