Dubai: The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is currently showcasing a unique selection of exquisite artworks from some of the world's most prominent artists and renowned galleries. This year, the centre is offering art enthusiasts a rare chance to experience masterpieces from across the globe.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a notable highlight of the exhibition is a rare drawing by Michelangelo, currently displayed at Christie's in The Gate Village. This red chalk drawing is a preparatory sketch for the right foot of the Libyan seer depicted in the Sistine Chapel ceiling. It is a rare gem, being one of only about ten Michelangelo drawings still in private hands and the first unrecorded Sistine Chapel ceiling drawing to be offered at auction. The masterpiece will be auctioned in New York City in February 2026, with an estimated price ranging from $1.5 million to $2 million.

Contemporary Ukrainian artist Anna Chekh makes a return to the DIFC with her striking sculpture, Shadow Horses. The three-headed stainless steel piece is inspired by the UAE and embodies themes of movement, identity, and cultural dialogue. Additionally, Russian artist Ruslan Godeev continues his Dubai debut with Shifted Diagonal at RARARES Gallery, Gate Avenue. His work traces the evolution of visual language from expressionist abstractions to architecture-inspired abstract compositions. A key feature of his exhibit is The Ancient Stones (2025), a graphic series exploring the diagonal line as a creative force. This exhibition underscores the DIFC's expanding cultural program and its role in attracting celebrated international artists to the Middle East.
