Military Academy and NATO Mission Explore Enhanced Training Cooperation

Baghdad: The President of the Military Academy, Admiral Ahmed Omran Abdul, held discussions with a delegation from the NATO Training Mission in Iraq (NTM) to explore prospects for joint cooperation in military training and the development of educational curricula aligned with modern international standards.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Academy highlighted that the meeting reviewed ways to organize future training courses and workshops. During the session, the new Director of the Mission’s Vocational Education Department presented an introductory overview, expressing a strong interest in expanding areas of cooperation with the Academy.

Admiral Abdul underscored the significance of activating this cooperation to aid in the preparation of competent officers with notable expertise. He emphasized the Academy’s dedication to embracing successful international experiences to bolster its reputation as a robust institution in preparing military leaders.

This visit is part of the ongoing strategic partnership between Iraq and NATO aimed at enhancing the training and educational capabilities of Iraq’s military institution.
