Baghdad: Military Intelligence Directorate announced the arrest of a number of drug dealers and promoters in Maysan and Anbar, including a foreign national.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a statement that detachments from the Military Intelligence Directorate in the 10th Infantry Division and the 22nd Commando Division, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Divisions in those sectors, conducted a precise, qualitative operation. This operation led to the arrest of several drug dealers and promoters in Anbar and Maysan Governorates, including a foreign national accused.

The Directorate explained that the operations were carried out based on judicial arrest warrants issued against the suspects in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) of the Narcotics Law. The accused individuals, along with the seized items, were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures against them.
