Anbar: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Sunday the arrest of several drug dealers and traffickers in Anbar and Diyala provinces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directorate stated that detachments from the Military Intelligence Directorate, specifically from the intelligence and security departments of the 5th Infantry Division and the 23rd Commando Division, conducted separate and precise operations to arrest two drug dealers and traffickers in Anbar and Diyala provinces.

The statement explained that the operation followed meticulous field surveillance of their movements in the two provinces. Both men were wanted by the judiciary and arrest warrants had been issued against them under Articles 28 and 32 of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law. They have been handed over to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.
